Ignite the Warmth Society

Through community-driven efforts, relationship building and knowledge exchanges, we aim to empower underserved communities and help youth better understand their role in change-making.

Self-care as Community Care

A peer-mentorship program

In partnership with the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law, this is a six-week collective care program for youth aged 18-25 to connect with like-minded peers and members within their community. This space will focus on nurturing relationships, practices for self & community care, and capacity to create a more socially just world.

Our Impact

Our organization is dedicated to addressing issues of poverty and homelessness in the Lower Mainland. Past efforts include donation drives, learning exchanges, and mentorship spaces to support community needs and engage youth about the systemic barriers, inequities, and stigma held against unhoused communities.

thousand Dollars Raised

Thanks to the support of our community, we've not only raised over $12,000 for underserved communities but have also channeled these funds into our impactful programming, providing tangible and meaningful support to the community. Our efforts have resulted in the distribution of over 3,000 care packages to the residents of Downtown Eastside.

Years Serving communities

In 2013, we began as students aiming to engage schools and our community in supporting unhoused populations. What started as a blanket drive evolved and grew with the support of the dedicated people, partners, and mostly youth who wanted to see change happen in small, incremental steps
